Scafell Pike for Syria 2026

The Men of the Mountain is a movement, centred on elevating the males of this ummah into men and instilling the values of the Quran and Sunnah. Hence, we are excited to announce our third annual Spring Hike, to respond to the call of an ummah in need of الرجال and their humanitarian activism more than ever before in recent history. This year we return to where it all began in 2024, the first of many successful MoTM trips and expeditions Alhamdulillah. The tallest mountain in England, and the call to adventure beckons once again Take on the mountains with the brothers and emulate the sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ, ponder upon Allah’s creation, aid the ummah by raising vital charity funds, strengthen Imaan and the bonds of brotherhood and test your grit by CONQUERING SCAFELL PIKE. Insha'Allah, we will be fundraising for Rethink Charity’s - Stars of Sham Project and Human Aid & Advocacy’s - Rebuilding Syria Project. It is not required to set up a charity page to attend the hike, but highly encouraged. The majority of the fundraising for this trip was done in Ramadan by the brothers Alhamdulillah, but that doesn't mean that the opportunity has passed.

Trip Itenirary

Meet - Friday 9:00 pm QM Mile End Campus, Bancroft Rd, London E1 4DH We will be dropped off in Langdale by the coach in the early hours of the morning and begin climbing after Tahajjud - time permitting - and Fajr insha'Allah after eating a small packed-breakfast. We will be ascending & descending via the Great Langdale Route - a much more scenic, challenging and longer (roughly 11km) route than the standard Wastwater route that most people hike. The hike in total will take 6-10 hours to ascend and return to the carpark insha’Allah, dependent on group speed. You will be greeted on your descent with our classic smashed Bangin' Burgers, freshly cooked on-site. Return back to campus is estimated to be 11:30pm on Saturday insha'Allah.
