Introduction
To celebrate Eid and reward the brothers for their dedication throughout Ramadan, The Men of the Mountain hosted our annual Spring Charity Hike — a powerful collaboration with Human Aid & Advocacy, Queen Mary ISoc, and the Muslim Apprentice Community.
The climb
The day began before sunrise, with the brothers gathered in remembrance of Allah, praying Tahajjud together. Guided by experienced climbers, we took on The Twll Du Path leading to the towering summit of Glyder Fawr (1001m). The route tested our endurance as we crossed ancient woodlands, glacial lakeshores, and roaring waterfalls, all while marvelling at Allah’s majestic creation — the stunning views of Llyn Idwal, Ogwen Valley, and the vast Glyderau Mountain Range.
Throughout the journey, Islamic reminders and brotherhood filled every step. After a successful ascent and descent, the day ended with freshly grilled Bangin’ Burgers, a well-earned reward for the body after a climb that nourished the soul.

Summary
The Spring Charity Hike wasn’t just an adventure — it was a reminder of who we are and who we strive to become. The bonds formed, the Imaan strengthened, and the prayers raised amidst the mountains made this day unforgettable. Together, we carried the spirit of brotherhood higher than the peaks we climbed, with our hearts tied to a cause greater than ourselves: aiding the Ummah.

The Good
The organisation, brotherhood, and purpose behind every step — raising funds for our brothers and sisters in Palestine — gave the hike a deep and lasting meaning. The fresh food, smooth transport, and carefully planned reminders all came together to make it a true celebration of faith, endurance, and unity.
The Bad
No true journey of growth comes without its tests. Some brothers found the steep climbs tougher than expected, especially during the final stretches towards the summit.
